Description

The Royale Réserve Brut Champagne from Philipponnat is made from Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier grapes, sourced from the finest Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards in the heart of Champagne, with a strong predominance of Pinot Noir from the Mareuil-sur-Aÿ area, which predominantly characterizes it.

This cuvée, obtained exclusively from the first pressing, is completed with 39% reserve wines that age exceptionally in wooden casks and are managed with the Solera method, enriching it in complexity. The aging, which takes place entirely in the cool cellars of the Maison, lasts for a full 3 years on its own lees, much more than the 15 months required by the Champagne regulations.

Intense golden in color, with a lively mousse and fine, persistent perlage, it opens on the nose with hints of vine flowers and linden, later supported by a slight aroma of toasted bread that, upon opening, enriches with fruity and honeyed scents. On the palate, it shows itself as vinous and structured, with hints of currant, raspberry, and ripe grape, preceding a broad and fragrant finish, characterized by a slight biscuity note.

Ideal to be served chilled as an aperitif, it elegantly enhances white meats, cold cuts, and fish-based dishes.
